They marry soon afterwards and so they begin their life together. ![]() Nevis, a young and ambitious writer, meets Simon, and immediately and irrevocably falls in love with him. On the back of that book, I was looking forward to reading My Husband Simon on the recommendation of a fellow reader and it didn’t disappoint. This is the second book that I have read in the British Library Women Writers series – ‘a curated collection of novels by female authors who enjoyed broad, popular appeal in their day.’ The first, Dangerous Ages by Rose Macaulay, was a wonderful book – the reflections of the main character, Neville, really resonated with me and reminded me that one doesn’t want to regret not doing things and it’s never too late to start doing what you want to do….and that is what prompted me to start writing about books I have enjoyed. ![]()
